A scientific seminar on “Post COVID-19 Complications & Management” was held on Monday, 18 October, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Ruposhi Bangla Grand Ballroom, InterContinental Dhaka. The seminar was organized by Bangladesh Society of Medicine (BSM) in collaboration with UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals.
150 leading medicine specialists were present in the seminar. The seminar was inaugurated by welcome address from Professor Dr. Ahmedul Kabir, Secretary General, BSM and Mr. M Mosaddek Hossain, Managing Director, UniMed UniHealth Pharmaceuticals. Keynote Speakers Professor Dr. Khan Abul Kalam Azad, Principal, Popular Medical College and Dr. Md. Uzzwal Mallik, Assistant Professor, Dhaka Medical College delivered their speeches on “A pragmatic approach to patients with long COVID-19 Symptoms” and “Post COVID Sequelae: The Aftermath of a dreadful disease”.
Professor Dr. Khwaja Nazimuddin, Professor Dr. Quazi Tarikul Islam, Professor Dr. Md. Enamul Karim, Professor Brig. Gen. (Rtd.) Dr. Mamun Mostafi, Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Professor Dr. Md. Titu Miah has given their expert opinion.
Later vote of thanks was given by Dr. Ashim Chakraborty, Assistant Professor, Sir Salimullah Medical College. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Sudip Ranjan Deb, Associated Professor, Dhaka Medical College. Professor Dr. Md. Billal Alam, President, BSM was the chairperson and the program ended by his closing remarks.
