South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine (SASSM) has organized a Scientific Seminar on “Management of Sexual Dysfunction” at Milon Hall, BSMMU, Dhaka on Thursday 18 December 2014. The South Asian Society for Sexual Medicine (SASSM) promote, encourage and support the highest standards of practice, research, education and ethics in the study of human sexual function and dysfunction. Professor Pran Gopal Datta, Vice-Chancellor, BSMMU has attended in the seminar as the Chief Guest. Professor A K Azad Khan, President, Bangladesh Society of Endocrinology, Professor AQM Serajul Islam, President, Bangladesh Dermatological Society, Professor Rowshan Ara Begum, President, Obstetrics and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh, Professor M A Salam, President, Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons, and Professor Dr. Md. Golam Rabbani, President, Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrist attended as Panel of Expert in this Scientific Seminar.
Sexual Medicine is a multidisciplinary subject which involves andrologist, dermatologist, endocrinologist, gynecologist, psychiatrist, urologist and other specialties. The understanding of sexual dysfunction and its management is becoming important day by day in Bangladesh perspective.
The scientific seminar was chaired by Professor AKM Anwarul Islam, President (Elect), SASSM and Chairman, Department of Urology, BSMMU. Dr. Md. Shamsul Ahsan, Council Member, SASSM and Assistant professor, Department of Psychiatry, BSMMU welcomed all participants. There were scientific discussions on different aspects of Sexual Dysfunctions and their management by Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Dr. Md. Feroz Amin, Dr. Nazneen Ahmed, Dr. Md. Shamsul Ahsan and Professor Mirza M H Faisal. Mr. M Mosaddek Hossain, Council Member, SASSM and Managing Director, UniMed UniHealth Mfg. Ltd. thanked the participants at the end of the seminar.
